Second Sea Turtle Nest at Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa
It seems like our turquoise waters and calm beach has been recognized by Mother Nature. A second sea turtle nest appeared this morning in our beach!
During the night walk, an agent of our security department discovered a loggerhead turtle making its nest just beside the first one!
We are so proud that the turtles feel safe to come to the tranquility of our beach to lay its eggs in the peace of our resort.
In this occasion our security team had the opportunity to take some pictures of the turtle during spawning and we would like to share them with you.
A biologist from the Ecology Department of Cozumel once again visited the resort and inspected the area. He told us that in approx. 45 days, 100 baby turtles will be born and we will be monitoring the nest to keep it safe as well.
We invite our guests that already have a reservation around August 6th and the ones that do not have a reservation yet, to join us during the magnificent experience of helping baby turtles to find their way to get to the ocean and start their lives naturally.
